Okay...it's been a LONG dang day...and things are still too scary...BUT...better than earlier. They dropped Graham's body temperature to 57 degrees and stopped his heart for 24 minutes, and it started again after they "customized" it...then he still wasn't oxygenating like he should so they had to put him on the heart AND lung ventilators--NOT GOOD...but after a bit of that and no improvement they let him try it on his own again and he DID it!!! They will leave his chest open for at least 2 days so the lungs can expand more easily and hopefully heal faster. It is almost 7:30 pm now and Kori and Jeremy should be able to see him for the first time since surgery within the hour. We will fast as a family tomorrow and welcome all who would like to join. We have had many prayers---individually and family. This boy is SO LOVED. We will trust that whatever God's plan is, it will be the best for all of us.
