BLog Catch up...
Saturday ...MICHAEL is FINE...but the Buick is totaled. He crashed on State Street in Orem on his way to the BYU football game. Never made it. just dang grateful he's alright. The air bag went off and he only had a few scrapes and a stiff neck.
Sunday...Josh gives an amazing talk on Agency and Love in church and over 100 of his friends and neighbors came for soup, salad, treats and visiting....before he heads off to Africa.
Monday...We went to see the movie GHOST TOWN and LOVED it, yes the language was rough, and yes, I haven't laughed out loud that much in a movie in a LONG TIME. We are trying to cram as much fun and TIME together with Josh as possible before Tuesday.
Tuesday...Josh went with me to Taylorsville to a close on a home and then we shopped up there for the miscellanous STUFF he needs for Africa. He is always such a delight to be with.
5 of my chicks layed their first egg...only 4 more to to go...so much more fun to feed them when you get a prize every day. I love how tiny the first ones are.
Wednesday...we went to lunch at Whistle WOK ( a cheap chinese place he likes---he went there many days after swim practice in High School) and then to see the movie EAGLE EYE. I felt like I'D been run over by a truck when we got out of there, and when I thought about he movie the whole story and events were ridiculous. But while I was watching I was sucked in big time. I showed houses in Alpine while Don and the boys took Josh to Tucanos for dinner and I met them for the movie FOREVER STRONG...great show even though it was a guy flick.
Thursday...making Grilled Chicken Fetticini for dinner--one of Josh's favorites. In the 70's today--an incredibly GORGEOUS day outside. Josh getting in a few last dates...waiting to watch our favorite shows together tonight.

Good thing I checked this before I left...for those of you who saw the lovely video of me trying to walk after the marathon by Megan...well.... lets just say that humility comes in many forms. Tuesday
Sad but true...I'm pretty sick of short sales. I'm sicker of clients who want to steal from others to get a screaming deal....
This is my new favorite running shirt from the Marathon.
This is me snugged in for the night on the left ---and Josh, Spencer and Sam all in bed with me under the covers trying to aggravate Don---he hates it when they all get in bed with me. We had just had night family prayer and Don went I don't know where for only a minute and they all piled in.... sweet memories for me.
Last of the GLORIOUS GOLF
We spent all day yesterday tagging behind Spencer at the State Golf Tournament at Soldier Hollow. We are so proud of him for qualifying. Last week he shot a 69 at Talons...not so bad for a 16 year old. Yesterday wasn't as great...but it was a lovely time together at a beautiful place. Now the school team is done and he will be back to living at the courses near our house. I really might have to get my own set of clubs.
They didn't allow any spectator carts on the course...I am still walking funny, so after just a bit they offered to drop me off at the hole he tee'd off from and then his coach gave me a ride to most of the greens...I like being pampered.

I LOVE You Guys!!!!
THANK YOU for my 5 messages to come home to!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! I am 45, feeling 80, and can barely walk. No lie. I have NEVER had a recovery like this one. I am sure it was from waiting in the pouring rain for 2 hours before the start and then having it rain the WHOLE time I ran (my Garmin said I ran 26.32 miles in 4:04:06...the official chip time was 4:06:17....whatever... I missed the four hour mark.) Physically I think that is the hardest thing I've done next to my c-sections. I was SO COLD. The wind was killer. I thought my toes were broken off. We were all completely soaked before we even started. The fires were a comfort while we waited but you can't take them with you. My brand new IPOD shuffle NEVER worked. I think it got too wet. UGH. At mile 19 I really wanted God himself to come down and bless it better or to strike it to smitherines...either.
I ran into Vanessa Rapier who had never run sub 9 minutes miles before and it was a gift to be able to 'babysit" her through. The gang was cheering for me at the finish. That is always an out of body experience. I'll write about that some other day.
I think the hardest thing for me was worrying about Megan. Most of you probably don't know that on Thursday she got the hairbrained idea to just run the marathon and see how far she could go....she decided to see if she could get Kristin's tag. She got it. Yep, the farthest she has run all year is 7-8 miles. The mother in me just got sick as I kept thinking how cold and unprepared she was. Every hill I looked at it like I had to do it twice. I'm wierdo sick that way. By mile 20 I was past worried and on to selfishlly mad that I had to worry about her. My true motherly feelings returned about mile 24 and just wanted to make one of the aid people go find her and save her. But what was up with me? Yes, she was freezing, wet, cold, hating life...BUT SHE LOVED finishing!!!! She still hasn't taken off her medal. I just laugh every time I see her. I feel jealous that I don't love my accomplishment the way she does. Anyway...I have a few pictures....the one of my totally wrinkled foot at the end is my favorite. I am too tired to put them up tonight. I'll get them on tomorrow. I am so grateful for all the people who helped the race still go on...they were out there in the freezing wind and rain handing us water and fruit and goos and rubbing us down with Ben Gay....they need some kind of medal!!! I'm grateful that at 45 I can still do this. I can. I did. Why do I? Couldn't tell you.

I'm off.....
THanK YOU EVERYONE for the prayers, the calls, the e-mails, the blog notes....my cold is pretty much gone....only to wake up to a tummy flu...several of my running friends have it as well so we probably all gave it to each other. All my carbo loading from yesterday is GONE...so darn, as soon as my tummy can take it I
'll start loading again!!! Josh brought me a dozen Krispy Kremes, I love him for it (it's just that I can't quite do those right now):)
I'll be back late Sunday and thinking of EACH of you I am sure during my four hour exercise. It's cooled down down there...and I'm glad!!!
Happy Conference Weekend!
