There are a few posts that are new on the OLDER Posts...I've been playing catch up today.
You've been on my mind like crazy this week and I am wondering what is going on??? I am still getting your stuff together for your package and plan to send it Tuesday. I will for sure get the markers and vision board stuff...
I have had Africa everywhere for me...the History Channel has a special on THE AFRICAN EXPEDITION, I did a bit of research on the INVISIBLE CHILDREN, I am reading LEFT TO TELL...and of course...in Arusha there is this man/child that holds my heart.
I am so excited for Sheri to come I can hardly stand it. They called today and I got to talk to all of the kids...its crazy what they remember from other visits...Issac wants me to take him to the frozen yogart shop...Audry wants to go to the Dinosaur Museum and the Mall--I asked her WHY the Mall ( you know how I hate that!) and she says "Aunt Natalie the Mall has all these cool clothes and hair stuff" ...she must have gotten that from Gene's side cuz there is none of that on OUR side...but it made me smile... 10 days and they'll be here. I'm going to take the whole week off and just LOVE on em'...I'll miss you. WE will miss you.
Michael is still toughing it out i Florida. Megan has decided to live at home the rest of the summer. Spencer should probably put a cot at the golf course. He is doing P90X everyday now...I bought it for me but it looks SO HARD!!! Sam is thrilled to SLEEP in....just decided he is not "with" Brynn anymore. Dad is planning youth conference for the Stake. The cat is now catching birds in addition to mice. I am loving Primary and work is keeping me busy. Becky has gotten tri crazy and I am now running sometimes with this new gal Marcii and she is SO fun! She is alot younger than me so she'll outgrow me soon.
The boys are pestering me to take them to their friends so I have to quit now...I LOVE YOU ...can't wait for you to catch me up....

PROOF for WHY FOUR...
Yard HEAVEN
You can see the hollyhocks and blackeyed Susan's are going to be bursting forth... most of the COLOR in the yard will come in a few weeks....you can see Spencer's golf green ain't so bad...he baby's that thing! I like it that he loves it! Its wierd..SOMETHING ate all of my baby corn JUST as it was barely blading through...NEVER had that happen before! Will replant tomorrow.
Four about 5 years I have been separating out my HENS and CHICKS and FINALLY i ALMOST have the whole rock wall filled.... I' ll never forget the first time I saw them...i was 14 at Aunt Pat's in Maryland and I loved them then and I love them still!
Remember when we moved in and there was NOTHING??? No grass no trees....just lots of rocks?I was looking at the trees yesterday and remembering how sad I was that we were planting these "sticks" and wanting to afford bigger TREE looking trees....it MATTERED to a Florida girl who NEEDED green...and 11 years later and goodness...we have TREES with SHADE and birdsnests!!!!! And look the Salvia is so tall you can barely even see OINK...if you didn't know he was there you might miss him! The Cecil Bruner roses are glorious now and soon the purple clematis will come....I hope it waits for Sheri!!!
WHY do I NEED four????
CAUSE!!!!! Hanging out here with friends is one of my FAVORITE things to do...but to be POLITE I always let the friends have the swings and I sit on the cheapo chairs WISHING I had more swings---of course the swing was everyone's favorite....BUT NOW...I got me SOME SWINGS!!!!! And when Sheri and crew are here we can stay out here for hours...comfortably!!!! Might I just say that I appreciate Don NOT saying anything MORE since I made the decision...it takes a BIG MAN BABY...
And Megan...thank you for assembling swing #2 and #3:)
Hey...if you're not busy...come on by...we'll swing for awhile!!! But lets BBQ first...YOU bring dessert!

Don't BLINK!!!! IT IS TRUE!!!!!
Josh, really, REALLY...this IS our BACKYARD!!!! Your Momma FINALLY got this dream!!!! 2 loungers, 3 jet packs!!!! We got an AMAZING deal on this used one that is EXACTLY the model I have on my vision board! The electrician comes tomorrow to do the wiring and the chemicals should be all regulated and ready to go by Tuesday night...it feels like I am 4 years old and Santa is never coming!!! I can hardly wait! Dad is even excited!!! And just in time for Sheri's visit!!! I think we will ALL appreciate it. The whole HOT WATER thing is DEEP in the Broadhurst genes....here is what Preston wrote: "NICE......I don't know if you know this or not, but I really, REally, REALLY like hot tubs. No, I love them. Perhaps more than I love Jeremi! So, I don't know how serious you are about "the wee hours of the morning", but I will be there with or without anyone else........Perpetually hot water is all I need in heaven (or on earth) to make me feel like a GODDDDDDD!!!!!!!"
I couldn't have said it better myself.
Don't worry buddy...when you get home you can be in charge of who gets in and when for the first month!!!!
They came late but are here at last....
New favorite TV Show
Feeding the Missionaries
Josh...I just pretended like I was going to get to feed YOU...they were darling--they will be back June 8th for dinner as well...when I asked what they wanted the Elder on the left said "Grilled pork chops with applesauce and the right kind of potatoe salad that has eggs and mustard in it....and apple pie"...we all laughed...it was like he was just WAITING for someone to ask!!! Wish I could make dinner for you....
Dear friends in the world...even if you don't believe in Christ or missionary work...PLEASE FEED these boys when you get the chance...and be sure to tell them you want to because you KNOW that there Mama's would want you to!!!!!

The invisible Children....AFRICA
Joshy----too long for you to watch...don't try...this is about the abducted children in Uganda --abducted to become soldiers...
PLEASE GO HERE AND WATCH...show your kids....
Yes, because Josh is in Africa all things AFRICA seem to jump out at me...I'm embarressed they didn't before now.
On those "wish I could win the lottery to take care of retirement so I can quit worrying about it" days ---I vow to rewatch this again...and again...
And if by some freak I DO win a lottery...they will not be forgotten...isn't it great that it doesn't take a lottery win to make a difference...I am staring at my children's book collection I have so lovingly SAVED for those GrandBabies--everyone of them is at the library within a mile of my home....alot to think about and more to give....

Letter from Josh 25 May 2009
Hello Family!!! This week was good. We had zone confernce on saturday and that was really good, although i am geting sick of zone conference with four elders and President, it will be nice to have i big zone again after i leave here, but that wont happen for like another three or four months at the soonest. I am glad to hear that school is finally ending, it means Spencer will be happy again and can go golf his summer away. it also means fun and partying. lucky for you guys. The best part about this week though was saturday evening. We went to one of our investigators houses to meet with her (Helen). she can speak english fine but has had very litle english schooling so she cant read very well. it has been hard to get her to read the book of mormon because of it. when we were following up with her after we first got there she told us that she hadnt read at all that week ike ost of the weeks before. We told her how sad that makes us, how we traveled all the way to Tanzania to share this book with people, but not just anybody, only the people that we become friends with and grow to love. She then told us how this past month or so (about the time that we met her) she has been feeling very sad and just wants to be alone most of the time because she feels like nobody loves her. We told her how much we love her and then promised her two things. First that God loves her, and second that if shewould read the book of mormon everyday, even if it was just one verse and she didnt understand what it meant, that her life would be filled with love and joy. The spirit was so strong, and somehow i just knw that she is going to read everyday. I am looking forward to wednesday when we will meet with her again. As far as the package goes, could you sendme a copy of everybodys patriarchal blessings? and also i am starting a vision wall in my room and i was wondering if you had the painting that chris cooper did of me as a stripling warrior, if so, could you send that too? and some of those realy big markers, i can only find the small ones here. and anything else that you think i might want to put up would be good. I love you all so much, i am so gratefull that the Lord let me know and live with each of you. have a great week!love,Elder Harris

Letter to Josh 24 May 2009
Lovey....here's the latest....We saw StaR Trek for family night last Monday and I can't wait for you to see it...it was GREAT! Funny too...we put it on the "list" for when you come home.
Kori went to Myrtle Beach with her Sister for a get away so Jeremy was Mr. Mom for a few days..he took the kids to Logan and then here for Sunday dinner. We can't get enough of "GRAMBERT"...he is scooting everywhere in his walker. Elle is still having Princess tea parties in the tub with me:) She even let me french braid her hair tonight!
Haven learned to ride her two wheeler with NO training wheels this weekBrother West worked his music magic again today. He brought all these hats and whoever could answer his questions to the song he was teaching could pick one out and put it on anybody else they wanted...the kids were thrilled. Then, he promised that if they could learn one whole new song then they could watch him dance with Sister Rapier (Dancing with the "STAR"S) because she is an amazing ballroom dancer. He talked to them about 3/4 time and how waltzes are always in 3/4 time like the new song.....sure enough, they learned the first verse and he danced with Sue, then they learned the second verse and he let Miles (one of the kids) dance with her...I could not believe how they ATE it UP!!!! Primary is so much more interesting with Brother West. Creative people are so great to have around.
Josh, just thought you'd like and update: on Rachel...she's graduating. Danaan is dating Heather Durrant pretty seriously. Steve Mortenson got his call to Georgia...Tyler Nielson is now waiting for his call. katie Otterstrom broke her wrist rollerblading with Dan while he was running in the canyon--he got them for her for Mother's Day so that could spend more time together:) Kimber and Jason Gray blessed their new baby girl GRACIE in Sacrament Meeting today and she is a DOLL!!! Jason's blessing was as tender and sweet and thoughtful as I've ever heard from a Dad...he blessed her mind that she would always know revelation from her first Father, God---he blessed her desires that she would be compelled towards Christlike characterisitics and hold true happiness close to her by choosing what has already been proven to be right.....I felt wrapped in the love he had for her as his soft voice flowed his love all over her...there were 10 or so men in the circle---I love that visual image of all those men standing round her--as guardians, protectors, guides....a lucky girl. I love you Buddy. As always you are often on my mind. And Michael. He called me this week to say he was homesick for the first time ever...and he mentioned he didn't have compassion enough for the Elder's on the mission who had been. It has rained there for a week solid making his work less than lovely...and it REALLY rains there...probably like YOUR RAINS!!!! Is it still raining?
I haven't gotten any flowers for the graves for Memorial Day tomorrow. The gravesite doesn't hold anything for me. I know they aren't there and it just feels empty. I know GrandDad cares though so I will take something and take a picture for him. GrandDad is ok...he and Olive are at the dance tonight. Olive has been with her daughters for a few days because one had to have surgery...anyway...things pretty much the same there. He really wants me to come and is hoping for July since I explained WHY it can't be before then...but I will probably try to push it to fall at least.
I'm getting so excited for Sheri to come I can hardly stand it...17 days....
The Spring has been so GREAT for working out...I get to take the bike up the canyon at least twice a week...Dad and Megan have been coming with me sometimes.
This is the boys last week of school so yearbook signings, parties, etc....Sam is truly sad to be leaving Oak Canyon. I can barely believe I won't have anyone in Junior High anymore...I'm officially one of the OLD MOMS now...I sure don't feel it!
I love you. I love you. I LOVE YOU!!!! I love you...I hope you are feeling all that love all the way there. I can't WAIT to hear from you in the morning. Let me know if you need or want anything..Tuesday I am sending another package with the gel inserts and the camera cable...so let me know.
I LOVE YOU!!!!!
Oh GOLLY it's MISS MOLLY!!!!!
This is one of my best friend's---Molly. Molly turned 3 in December. When Molly was born I was able to spend alot of time with her...she has since moved to Eagle, Idaho. Now Molly calls me every now and again and I LOVE IT!!!!! My heart just melts when I hear "Madaly?". She reminds me that all you need to have a GOOD DAY is to talk to someone you love and tell them EVERYTHING...like what you hope to have for snack, and what names you can write, and update on the kittens.... I love this woman and am pretty sure we have been best friends in previous lives as well. This picture catches a whole lot of her personality...walking sunshine!!!!

Sam's end of Baseball season party was at the Palmer's...and yep...they've got a pool. Yep I was/am in deep covet...it never goes away...maybe before I'm a GrandMom? The water was 85 degrees..yum...it relaxes me to the core. I love it when NICE GREAT people get to have nice great things. This season is our first time meeting the Palmer's and we loved them from the start.
