Dear Family!!!
This week was good. it was a bit crazy because the schedule got changed and so we had to go and do exchanges earlier and so we went to eldoret and to kisumu this week. both of them were very good. in eldoret i got to be with one of my former companions, elder mdlalose, for the exchange. it was cool to be with him that day. Their area was struggling a bit though and so we contacted most of the day, but it was fine and we had a good time. then in kisumu we had a very packed day. between the two companionships we had 20 lessons and a baptism. i went to the baptism that morning and then we just ran from appointment to appointment for the rest of the day and we had 9 lessons after the baptism. then my comp and the other zone leader there skipped the baptism to be able to fit in more appointments so they had 11. it was a pretty amazing day.
then we went to church in kisumu yesterday and then drove back to Nairobi after church. but at church there was this newly returned missionary that was there and he bore his testimony since it was fast and testimony meeting and the whole time i just sat there thinking "i swear i know this guy." then i bore my testimony a bit later and saw that sitting right next to the returned missionary was his brother, who just so happens to be Larry Adenya who was my first baptism way back when i was in rongai. it was really cool to see him again, and to meet his brother who planted the seed and had Larry looking for the missionaries in the first place. i was also happy about it because i had talked to the elders in rongai a few times and they always said Larry wasn't coming anymore, but it turns out he moved to kisumu and has been attending there. we need to get his records moved now, but other than that he is doing good. i was happy to see him again and to know he is still attending.

Well, i guess mike is home now. will that be for long or is he starting school in like two days or already or what? and i am happy that spencer found a job, but i hopw that doesnt mean that he will be too busy to hang out when i get home. You said mike hardman gets home tuesday or something and chad will be home like 3 weeks before me. wow. this is all coming too quickly. i'm scared for it, but i am excited for the opportunities ahead aswell.
This week we are staying with the mission pres for a few days to try to help plan for a leadership training meeting (all of the zone leaders, district leaders and trainers throughout the whole mission attend that, which is almost half the mission) and to try to figure out the best way to implement the new mission programs that they have for the missions throughout the world. it will be interesting to see how it all comes together. but i know that somehow it will, and it will be in a way that will help the mission to grow and to prosper.
i love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i hope you have a great week!!!!!!! thanks for everything that you do for me and for all of your love and support!!
Love,
Elder Harris
