Sherry Matherly ?(can't remember her married name!), my dear college friend came to town to see her daughter perform in this Opera and invited me to go. Well, this down home country music loving girl wasn't SO excited to see the Opera, but dang excited to be with Sherry and see her daughter. Well I'll be darned! Who knew? I LOVED IT!!!! They graciously had huge flat screens to the sides that interpreted the German and sometimes they even spoke in English. The costumes were AMAZING...the singers were enchanting and even hilarious in parts...yes...I EVEN LIKED THE SINGING!!! I found my soul feed in a new kind of way. I found myself even WAITING to have one of the female leads come back so I could hear her some more. I wouldn't want to buy the album....but LIVE it was a FANTASTIC experience. THANK MISS SHERRY---and Tara....you were WONDERFUL!!!!
