Letter from Josh 1-12-2009

Hey!

i just want to say that i love you all! i dont have a lot of time this week to write so this may be short but it will definitely be long enough to let you know what is going on. I am super jealous of all the snow!!!!!! Sam, good luck with the baseball stuff, although knowing you, you will end up on varsity even though you are a freshman. I love my new companion. he knows what it means to work hard, i have been absolutely exhausted every night since he got here and it has made me soooo much happier. my favorite thing that i heard this week was "if you are not suffering, there is something you are doing wrong" it was good to hear it because it helped me to know that i am doing what i should be doing. missions are ROUGH, and it was just good to hear that from a newly returned missionary. Still no christmas package, but zone conference is wednesday so maybe i will get it then. i do have some things i would like for the valentines day package though. first i would like the dvd of the joseph smith movie, you know the new one about his life and such that they were or maybe still are showing up in salt lake. but i would also like some hot chocolate mix, there just isnt any good hot chocolate here. also if you could send me a journal, one that i can have people sign in and stuff, i cant find one here with a hard backing to it (although i havent checked in town, but just send one so that i dont have to go to town:) ) other than that i dont know, i had some american candy out of elder oversons package and it tastes too sweet to me now. i am feeling much better now and i just took the last of the meds for the parasite this morning, still dont know how i got it but it doesnt really matter, although the doctors said it was probably bad water, but it is gone now i am sure of it. so i think i have answered most of the questions now. i am excited for this transfer because i know that with elder baloyi the work will go well and i will be able to see the benefits of missionaray work and the joy of briging it in to others lives. anyways, i have to go, i love you all and i hope you are all doing well!
Love,
Elder Harris
