XXOOXX Afton

We are happy she is finally released and back with her loved ones...she waited a LONG time....
Afton M. Bertin Fryer Huggard 1921 ~ 2009 Afton M. Bertin Fryer Huggard 88, passed away at home on November 30, 2009 after a long illness. Afton was born November 16, 1921 in Provo, Utah to Harry and Pearl Bertin. Afton spent her childhood in American Fork, Utah. She later married her sweetheart LeRoy "Sam" Fryer of Lindon, Utah. They were blessed with a son, Jim L. Fryer, born September 1, 1947. Afton worked as a secretary for Lindon, Central and Valley View Elementary Schools. She retired in 1983 after 23 years of service. She was a member of the LDS Church, Lindon 1st Ward where she served in many callings. Her great love was genealogy, researching her Italian family history. After the passing of her husband, Afton ran a successful farming business with the assistance of her nephew, Creig V. Fryer. Once again Afton found happiness when she married, Earl Huggard of American Fork, Utah. Afton is preceded in death by her son Jim Fryer, her husband LeRoy "Sam" Fryer, Earl Huggard, her parents Harry and Pearl Bertin and her sister Hazel. She is survived by her sister Thelma Carson, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lindon First ward building, 56 East 600 North, Lindon, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens.
