Annual Valentine' s Day Dinner

Tradition is that we have this dinner the MONDAY night before Valentine's Day with a family our children choose that they love and want to thank for being in their lives.
But Sarah Butler was using our home to film her BYU production of something (they will be here several times this month)...so Monday we went to cheap mexican food at BETO's (are you dreuling Michael?)ending with a mean game of ROOK. SO last night the 9 Scades' came and we had a blast!! THe menu is always the same RED spaghetti, RED jello, RED breadsticks, RED Ranch on the salad and sugar cookies for dessert. The twist is, you have to eat it with a kitchen utensil. Now I know that seems more in line for an April Fools dinner...but we're generally a little off anyway. You'll see come April Fools what happens then!!! Kevin and Josh were in Spanish Immersion together all through elementary, and Ryan and Spencer have been buds since Jr. High and Sam and Trevor have been friends since Kindergarten. Can you believe Laurie has 7 kids? She looks like a teenager to me...and just a spec of a thing...those boys can throw her around like a sack of potatoes. Although little Krista and Nicole probably get the brunt of that. It was great to have them in our home all together. They told us how they met and how they KNEW they were the ones for each other...never hurts to try to help our boys sort things out before they get there. We always have the visiting family tell their "LOVE" story. So fun to hear...even for the boys.
